Houston Clasico Featuring Chivas de Guadalajara vs. Monterrey at BBVA Compass Stadium on Friday, July 17 at 8 p.m.
Las Chivas de Guadalajara will compete against Los Rayados de Monterrey in the Houston Clásico presented by Cervecería Tecate, State Farm Insurance and Pazzo Sports for a friendly game on Friday, July 17, 2015 at BBVA Compass Stadium.
One of the oldest and most popular clubs in Mexico, Club Deportivo Guadalajara, known as “Las Chivas de Guadalajara” was founded in 1906, and is the only soccer club in Mexico to sign Mexican players. During the 2015 Liga MX Clausura, Las Chivas made it to the semifinals, and with that held the fifth position on the chart. José Manuel de la Torre Menchaca is the team’s current manager, and he is committed to prepare the team, during the pre-season, to compete for the 2015 Liga MX Apertura champion title.
Club de Fútbol Monterrey, known as “Los Rayados del Monterrey”, has been invited for the second time by Pazzo Sports for the Clásico match. Los Rayados won three consecutive CONCACAF Champions League from 2011-2013. Club Monterrey was founded in 1945, and is the oldest active team in the professional division from northern Mexico. Now, it’s Ricardo “El Turco” Mohamed’s shot, as the new team manager to show the fans what Los Rayados can do on the field.
